Ministries

The members of Grace are involved in ministry in a variety of ways.  We believe that God calls us to not only be concerned with each other as the family of God, but that we are called to a mission field that includes the world.

We are called to our local community and we participate actively in Barry County Cares, local fall backpack program for school-age and pre-school children, monthly jail ministry, Adopt-a-Highway, and many more programs.  We also continue to develop a relationship with the community through our annual participation in the Christmas season Holly Trolly program, the annual car show, Vacation Bible School, and the Good Friday Cross Walk through the village.  Many of our members volunteer in these and other community programs to assist our Hastings neighbors and make a difference in the world.

Our commitment goes beyond the local community, though, as we participate in churchwide and global initiatives like the ELCA Hunger Program, Food for the Poor, Lutheran Social Services of Michigan, and more.  Some of our members to these programs separate from the church.
